“ We had such a fantastic experience. We were a large group and sampled the entire menu. I was excited to see they had traditional dishes that I would eat at restaurants back home in Argentina, like milanesa a la napolitana and, perhaps my favorite, bife a la riojana, which is sliced veal topped with tomato sauce, peas, fried egg and served with a side of thick cut fries. Same with desserts -we ordered the more traditional panqueque and flan with dulce de leche and also the grilled pineapple and postre chaja, which I had never seen anywhere before. So so good! ”

“ La Estancia offers an authentic Uruguayan parrillada eating experience in a cozy atmosphere. The service was very professional and friendly, and the owners, who are Uruguayan, greeted us at the door. The food was outstanding. We ordered the provoleta appetizer, asado de tira, and the hamburguesa rioplatense. All of the dishes are authentic to either Uruguay or Argentina and are extremely well prepared. There are a few vegetarian options. Anything from the “From the grill” menu is a must! We felt very welcomed and taken care of. We can’t wait to return! ”

“ Great steak and empanadas and this review comes from an Argentinian. The chimichurri was traditional and well made, and the chimi-mayo was a fun play and delicious. We got the parrillada and while it says it's for 2 people we couldn't finish it between 3. Every cut on in was cooked well and even the chicken was tender and juicy. They will cook the beef either American style (medium rare) or Argentine style (medium well) and both were excellent. While I was glad to see provoleta on the menu it was a bit underwhelming and needed to be served with a heartier bread. The "steak fries" were not fries at all, they were boiled fingerling potatoes but still good. The mashed potatoes were severely under seasoned and the worst thing we ate, but they had only been opened a couple of weeks so a forgivable oversight so early on. We ordered the panqueque for dessert and while it wasn't amazing, it was tasty. I'll definitely be back! ”

“ Really lovely new restaurant that just opened about 4 months ago in Minneapolis, this Argentinian-Uruguayan steakhouse offers premium cuts, bold flavors, and perfectly grilled meats. Wonderful atmosphere with well dressed staff in white button down shirts with black slacks, the kind of classy steakhouse you'd expect. I came in on a Friday night with some friends after making a reservation, it wasn't very busy when we came in but got progressively busier as the night went on. Our server was named Mario and he was very energetic and happy to tell us about the menu and a little bit about the background of La Estancia, great server with exceptional recommendations. We ended up getting an array of appetizers: the cold cuts selection (charcuterie board), beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce, and burrata. I really enjoyed the cold cuts selection, it was hearty and came with prosciutto, salami, mortadella, manchego, fontina, blue cheese, berries, jam, and crostinis. Great for a party of 3 or more. The empanadas were also fantastic, the flavor was so savory, you can tell they know how to marinate and cook their proteins! I'd probably pass on the burrata, it was a little bit harder than I expected and didn't come with any bread or crostinis. We asked for a side, but of note these crostinis are veryyy hard, I think the restaurant could benefit from some sliced ciabatta, anything slightly softer. The steaks and prime cuts that were sizzling when staff were walking by smelt incredible!! I need to come back to try some of their meats, though a little on the pricier side, they also have a big menu with sandwiches, burgers, main entrees, and premium grills. The desert also looked quite good, I have to come back to try more items! So far color me impressed! ”

“ One of the most flavorful and tender skirt steaks I've ever eaten. I had mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables as my sides. Chose the grilled pineapple for dessert. It was good but personal preference I would order it without the chocolate sauce. Service and atmosphere were excellent. ”
